This is a murder that took place when I was two months old, in July 1941. I grew up hearing about it because it happened in my county. I had always wanted to know more. It was never solved but this murder is similar to another one that took place in Los Angeles, California in 1947. That was was also never solved. It was the so-'Black Dahlia' murder of Elizabeth Short who grew up not far from Frances Cochran. Joan Noble Pinkham really did the research on this murder before writing it and it's an intriguing read. I so wish that these and so many other murders could still be solved. You'll find an occasional typo in this book but nowhere do they take away from the true and well written story of how events unfolded and the lengths the police and FBI went to in trying to solve this murder.Product details

Interesting true story, but definitely could tell it is self-published. Stopped counting the cliches after 4!
Very interesting read. I happen to travel on the road where Frances' body was dumped quite a lot, so this murder really has left an impression on me.
